The Robot Guitar

The Powertune Guitar may have disappeared, but The Robot Guitar is here in limited 1st run production.  So this again brings the question ‘Is a guitar that tunes itself a help or a hindrance?’  ‘Is it a crutch or a tool?’

Time will tell.  As for me I really like the idea, but know that since I am a mere mortal I probably can’t afford one.  Oh well.

 Tell me what you think.

    I think it is great technoligy. Like you, I’d buy one…. If I could afford it (if just for the fun of owning one) I think that in most cases a guitar like this would be a big help. In particular when doing songs which are in alt. tunings. Though, does the Robot guitar support alt tunings? At quick glance, it doesn’t look like thier website mentions it eitherway…

    Yes It does. It has 6.

    Standard.
    Standard down a half step al a Jimi Hendrix.
    Open E tuning. E B E G# B E
    Drop-D. D A D G B E
    DADGAD.
    And Double Drop-D. D A D G B D
